A 200m long train crossed a 400m long bridge with a speed of 36km/hr. Calculate the time taken by the train to cross the bridge

Here is the answer.

Speed of train = 36km/h = 36×5/18m/s=10m/s

lengthy of the bridge = 400m

length of the train = 200 m

distance required to cover to cross the bridge = 400+200=600 m

so, time = distance/speed

or, time = 600/10 sec

or, time = 60 sec = 1 minute

(2) Length of bridge =400 m
(3) Speed of train = 36km/hr= 10m/s
Total Length to cover = (400+200)m=600m
Time=Distance/Speed
