A 240 metre long wire is used to fence a rectangular garden whose length is twice it's width. Find the length and width of the garden.​

let width be X and length be 2x

given ; perimeter = 240m

2(l+b) = 240

2 (2x + X ) = 240

3x = 120

X = 40m

hence ,

width = 40m

length = 2 × 40 = 80m
