Given: A 25% reduction in the price of suit equal to ₹450.

To find: We have to find the original price.

Solution:

To determine the original price we have to follow the below steps as follows-

Let the original price of the suit be equal to x.

After a 25% reduction in the original price, the price of the suit becomes-

x -  \frac{25x}{100}  \\ x -  \frac{x}{4}  \\  \frac{3x}{4}

The price of the suit is equal to 450 rupees.

So, we can write-

 \frac{3x}{4}  = 450 \\  3x = 450 \times 4 \\ x = 600

The value of x is 600.

So, the original price of the suit is 600 rupees.
