A 250 watt electric bulb is lighted for 5 hours daily and four 6 watt bulbs are lighted for 4.5 hours daily. Calculate the energy consumed (in kWh) in the month of April.​

No. Of 6W bulb = 4

Total power = 24 W

Duration the bulb is lighted =4.5 hrs

Total time duration of one day = 4.5 + 5 = 9.5

Total time duration in april = 9.5 × 30 = 285 hrs

Overall power = 24+250 = 274 W

Energy consumed = 274 ×285 =77790 Wh = 77.79 kWh
