A 250 watt electric bulb is lightened for 5 hours daily and four 6 watt bulbs are lightened for 4.5 hours. calculate the energy consumed in the month of february

Here is your answer

Given Power of electric bulb = 250 W = 0.25 KW
Time the bulb is used = 5 h
Energy consumed by electric bulb = 0.25 *5 = 1.25 KWh

Also given the power of another bulb = 6 W = 0.006 KW
Time the bulb is used = 4.5 h
Energy consumed by the bulb = 0.006*4.5 = 0.027 KWh
But there are four such bulbs
Therefore
Energy consumed by four bulbs = 0.027 * 4 = 0.108 KWh

Total energy consumed in the month of February = 1.25 + 0.108 = 1.358 KWh
