Given:-

  • A 25N force acts on x-axis.

To Find:-

  • The Value of Force On y-component

Solution:-

F_x=25N

We Know that,

Force is a vector Quantity,it has Both Direction as well as Magnitude.

Force Has 2 components in Two dimensional Cartesian

  • \vec{F_{x}} along x-axis
  • \vec{F_{y}} along y-axis

\vec{F_{x}} =\vec{F }\cos(\theta)

and

\vec{F_{y}} =\vec{F} \sin(\theta)

In the Question it is given that Net force is acting towards x-axis.

So, The Angle \theta will be equal to 0.

\therefore \: \vec {F_{y}} =\vec{F} \sin(\theta) = 25 \sin(0)

And we Know that

 \sin(0) = 0

So,

 \: \vec {F_{y}} = 25 \times 0 = 0

∴The Value of Force on y-component is 0.
