given that,
AB=24m, CA=26m
now from rt. triangle ABC
AC²=AB²+BC²
26²=24²+BC²
676=576+BC²
BC²=676-576
BC²=100
BC=√100
BC=10
.'.required distances of foot of the ladder from the wall=10m
