Given:

Length of train = 260 m

Length of platform = 90 m

Total distance the train has  to be cover is:

Length of train  + Length of platform = 260 + 90

distance =350 m

speed = 55 kmph

convert speed into meter

=55\times\frac{1000}{3600}\\

= 55\times\frac{5}{18}

Time = \frac{Distance }{speed}

=\frac{350}{55\times\frac{5}{18} }

=\frac{70}{\frac{55}{18} }

=\frac{70\times18}{18}\\= 26.18 sec

Hence the time will it take to cross a platform 90 meters long is 26.18 sec.

From the given question the correct answer is:

the time will it take to cross a platform 90 meters long is 26.18 sec.

Given:

Length of train = 260 m

Length of platform = 90 m

speed = 55 kmph

To find:

time will it take to cross a platform 90 meters long

Solution:

So,

Total distance the train has  to be cover=Length of train  + Lengthof platform

= 260 + 90

=350 m

Total distance the train has  to be cover is

speed = 55 kmph

convert speed into meter

=55×\frac{1000}{3600}

=55×\frac{5}{18}

=15.27

now, we will find theTime.

time =distance / speed

time=350/15.27

time =22.92 sec.

thus, the time will it take to cross a platform 90 meters long is 26.18 sec.
