A 26m ladder is placed at A. If it is placed along wall PQ it reaches a height of 24m whereas it reaches a height of 10m if it is placed against wall RS. Find the distance between these walls.

26*26 = 10*10 -(B)^2

√676-100 = B

B = 24 metre.

total distance between walls = 24 + 10 = 34.
