We will use one of the most common identities in this question,
( x - y )² = x² + y² - 2xy

Given question:
( a - 2b )² = ?
Hence, x = a and y = 2b

Substituting the values,
=> ( a )² + ( 2b )² - 2 * ( a ) * ( 2b )
=> a² + 4b² - 4ab

There you go!

We can conclude,
( a - 2b )² = a² + 4b² - 4ab, which is the required result and product.
