object height = 2cm
u = -16cm
focal length =12cm
v = ?
using the formula
(1/v) - (1/u) = (1/f)
(1/v) = (1/f) +(1/u)
(1/v) = (1/12) + (1/-16)
(1/v) = 1/48
v = 48cm
The image is real And inverted

Image height
Magnification = h'/h = v/u
h'/h = 48/-16
height of the image = -3h = -3*2= -6cm

Hope its correct

h=2cm
u=-16 (sign convention)
f=12
-1/u+1/v=1/f
1/v=1/f-(-1/u)
1/v=1/f+1/u
1/v=1/12+1/-16
1/v=1/12-1/16
1/v=1/48
v=48
image distance=48cm
m=hi/ho=v/u
hi=v/u×ho
hi=48/-16×2=-6
Thus size of image=-6
Negative sign shows that the image is inverted.
So a real and inverted image formed.
