Step-by-step explanation:

l=50cm,b=35cm

area of rect ABCD= L×B

50×35=1750 m²

now area of rect PQRS

L=50+2+2=54

B=35+2+2=39

area of rect PQRS=L×B

54×39=2106 m²

area of the path = area of rect PQRS-area of rect ABCD

=2106-1750

= 356 m²

Step-by-step explanation:

with the path the length =50+4=54m

with the path the breadth =35+4=39m

with the path the area

=length×breadth=54×39=2106m²

without the path length =50m

without the path breadth=35m

without the path area =length×bteadth =50×35=1750m²

area of the path =area with path -area without path =2106-1750=356m²
