I hope this point is clear.

verify :-

(a ) 2x - 45

2(30) - 45 = 15

( b ) 3(x - 5 ) - 5 ( x - 2)

= 3( -5/2 - 5 ) - 5 ( - 5/2 - 2 )

= - 15 /2 - 15 + 25 /2 + 10

= ( - 15 - 30 + 25 + 20 ) / 2 ( L.C.M. = 2 )

= 0 /2

= 0

Answer:

a) 2x-45=15

= 2x=15+45

= x= 60\2

= x= 30

verify:-

2 X 30 -45 = 15

b) 3(x-5) -5(x-2)

=3x -15 -5x+10=0

= -2x = -10+15

= -2x = 5

= x -5\2

verify :-

3(-5\2-5) -5(-5\2-5)=0
