A 3:2 molar ratio mixture of FeO and Fe2O3 react with oxygen to produce a 2: 3 molar ratio mixture of Feoand Fe203. Find the mass (in g) of O, gas required per mole of the initial mixture.​

The total moles for oxygen atom from 3:2 mixture is

n=2x+6x=8X mol-------(1)

based on 2:3 mixture

n=2y+9y=11y mol-------(2)

so 8x=11y

on solving the equation we get 2moles
