A 3.5 g sample of mixture of sodium bi carbonate and potassium chloride is dissolved in 35 mL of 0.54 M
H24. Some acid remain after treatment of the sample.
i) Write both the net ionic and molecular equation for the complete reaction of sodium
hydrogen carbonate with sulfuric acid.
ii) If 36.4 mL 0.2 M NaOH were required to titrate the excess sulfuric acid. Calculate the
number of moles of sodium hydrogen carbonate were present in the original sample.
iii) Calculate the percent composition of the original sample
