(a+3)(a-3)-a(a+5)=6

We have an identity,

=>(a+b)(a-b)=a²-b²

Now,

=>(a)²-(3)²-a(a+5)=6

=>a²-9-a²-5a=6

Rearranging the like terms,

=>a²-a²-5a= 6+9

=> 0-5a= 15

=> -5a= 15

=> -a= 15÷5

=> a= -3

Answer: a= -3
