A balanced three-phase voltage or current is one in which each phase is the same size and the phase angles of the three phases are 120 degrees apart.

* The impedances of the three phases in a balanced three-phase network are all the same.

* If a balanced three-phase supply is used with such a balanced load, the currents will be balanced as well.
