Given

Actual price of total food consumed by Mr.Saxena's family = Rs.685

Percentage of sales tax = 10%

Solution:

Now, Tax amount = 10% of Actual Price

= 10/100 × 685

= Rs.68.5

Total money that Mr.Saxena had to pay to the hotel = Actual Price + Tax

    = 685 + 68.5 = Rs.753.5

Total money to be paid = Rs.753.5

10% of 685

 \frac{10}{100} \times 685

 \frac{685}{10} = 68.5

the the total money he had to pay=₹685+68.5

=₹753.5
