A 30 cm long ruler is broken into two parts, in the ratio 8:7 . what will be the length of each part ?​

To find :

➡️length of each part

Solution :

Let the parts be 8x and 7x

Then, 8x+7x = length of the ruler

That is, 15x = 30cm

That is, x= 30/15cm = 2cm

We have x = 2cm

so, the parts of the ruler = 8×2cm and 7×2cm

That is, parts of the ruler = 16cm and 14cm

Hence, the parts of the ruler are 16cm and 14cm
