Solution :

Electric field E = 30N/C

Electric field for a infinite sheet :

E = σ / ε₀

30N/C = σ / (8.854 × 10⁻¹² C²/Nm²)

σ = (30N/C)(8.854 × 10⁻¹² C²/Nm²)

σ = 265.6 × 10⁻¹² C/m²

σ = 2.7 × 10⁻⁹ C/m²

Due to induction of charge

Left face of the sheet negative charge

So, σ = - 2.7 × 10⁻⁹ C/m²

Right face of the sheet positive charge

So, σ = 2.7 × 10⁻⁹ C/m²
