Length of train = 300 m
length of bridge = 1200 m
speed of train = 54 km/h = 54 × 1000/3600 = 54 × 5/18 = 15 m/s

We know,
time taken by train to cross the bridge = (length of bridge + length of train)/speed of train
= (1200 + 300)/15 = 1500/15 = 100 sec
Hence, time taken by train to cross the bridge is 100 sec

Answer:

100 sec or 1/36hr

Explanation:

Length of train = 300 m length of bridge = 1200 m speed of train 54 km/h 54 × = 1000/3600 = 54 × 5/18 = 15 m/s

We know,

time taken by train to cross the bridge = (length of bridge + length of train)/speed of train = (1200+300)/15 = 1500/15 = 100 sec Hence, time taken by train to cross the bridge is 100 sec..
