A 300 m long wire is used to fence a rectangular plot whose length is twice its width. find the length and breadth of the plot.

HI !

Let the width(b) be "x" , then the length(l) is "2x"

Total length of wire to fence the plot = perimeter of the plot  = 300 m

2(l + b) = 300

2(2x + x ) = 300

2*3x = 300

6x = 300

x = 300/6

x = 50 

2x = 2*50 = 100

Hence,

Length =  2x = 100 m
Breadth = x = 50 m
