intial velocity =120m/s

Final velocity =0m/s

distance covered =12cm =0.12m

acceleration

 {v}^{2}  =   {u}^{2}

 {0}^{2}  =  {120}^{2}  + 2 \times a \times 0.12

 - 14400 = 0.24 \times 2a

 a =  \frac{1440 2 }{0.24}

a =  \frac{1440000}{24}

a  =  \frac{120000}{2}

a = 60000ms { - }^{2}

force  = mass \times accleration

0.030 \times ( - 600000)

 \frac{30}{1000}  \times 60000

30 \times  - 60

1800newtons

Force applied by the Wooden block will be 1800newtons
