a 320 m long train takes 80 seconds more to cross a platform twice its length than it takes to cross a pole at the same speed. what is the speed of the train in m/s?

let the speed = v

time to cross the platform = (320 + 2 x 320) / v

time to cross the pole = 320 / v

According to ques,

(320 + 640) / v = (320 / v ) + 80

=> v = 640 / 80 = 8 m/s ..... ans....
