So, use th formula,
Area = Length * Breadth
 = (35*20) cm2
  =700 cm2Now, for the wooden frame (rectangle EFGH)
Length = (35+5) cm
  = 40 cm
Breadth = (20+5) cm
  = 25 cm
Area = Length * Breadth
  = (40*25) cm2
  = 1000 cm2So,
Area of wooden frame = Area of rectangle EFGH - Area of rectangle ABCD
  = (1000 - 700) cm2
  = 300 cm2
Therefore, the area of the wooden frame is 300 cm2
