Answer:

1166.4 kg

Step-by-step explanation:

It is Given that,

External length of open iron box = 78 cm.

External breadth of open iron box = 54 cm.

External height of open iron box = 12 cm.

Now,

As We know that,

Volume of cuboid = length x breadth x height

Substituting the values in the above formula, we get,

= 78 × 54 × 12

= 50544.

Therefore, External Volume of open iron box = 50544 cm³.

Now,

Internal length of open iron box = 78 - (3 + 3) cm = 72 cm

Similarly,

Internal breadth of open iron box = 54 - 6 cm = 48 cm.

Internal height of open iron box = 12 - 3 cm = 9 cm.

Now,

Similarly as we solve the above case,

= 72 × 48 × 9

= 31104.

Therefore, Internal Volume of open iron box = 31104 cm³.

After that,

Density of open iron box = 50544 cm³ - 31104 cm³ = 19440 cm³

Therefore, the weight of the box if its density is 60 gm/cm³ = 19440 × 60 = 1166.4 kg.
