Area of park=125*65=8125m²

After a path is build, a new rectangle is formed with length 125+6=131 and breadth 65+6=71

Area of new rectangle=71*131=9301

Area of path =9301-8125=1176m²

Answer:

1176 m^2

Step-by-step explanation:

Length of Rectangular Park = 125 m

Breadth of Rectangular park = 65 m

Area of rectangular path = Length \times Breadth

                                         = 125 \times 65

                                         = 8125m^2

We are given that width of path is 3 m

So, new length (including width of path) = 125+3+3=131 m

New Breadth of Rectangular Park = 65+3+3 = 71 m

Area of rectangular park including the path = Length \times Breadth

                                                                          = 131\times 71

                                                                          = 9301m^2

So, the area of the path = Area of rectangular park with path - Area of rectangular park without path

                                       = 9301-8125

                                       = 1176 m^2

Hence the area of Path is  1176 m^2
