A 3m wide path runs outside a rectangular park of length 125m and breadth 65m
Find the area of the path.

Given,

Length(L) = 125m

Breadth(B) = 65m

Width of Path = 3m

So breath of the larger rectangle will be

(B1) = 65+3 = 68m.

For finding area of the path, Just subtract the area of the smaller rectangle with the larger one.

So,

Area of larger rectangle (A) = L*B = 125*68 = 8500m²

Area of smaller rectangle (A2) = L*B1 = 125*65 = 8125m²

Area of path = A1 - A2

= 8500 - 8125 = 375m²
