A 4 cm tall object is placed perpendicular to the principal axis of a convex lens of focal lengh 20 cm . the distance of the object from the lens is 30 cm . Find the nature, position and the size of the image​

f= 20cm

u= -30cm

by lens formula,

1/v =  1/f + 1/u

1/v =  1/20 + 1/-30

1/v =  30-20/600

1/v =  10/600

1/v =  1/60

v =  60 cm

h`/h = v/u = magnification

h`/4 = 60/-30

h` = 60*4/-30

h` = -2 * 4

h` =  -8

the image is real and inverted and double size of the object.
