A 40% solution of sodium chloride contains 20g sodium chloride . Calculate the amount of water present in this solution

Assuming that the given concentration in terms of m/m%,

We have: 40g of NaCl IS present in 100g of solution. Or, in 60g of water.

Since percentage is just a ratio, we divide both values by 2 to get:

20g of NaCl is present in 30g of water.
