as its head on and elastic collision so is this the whole energy is conserved and the momentum conservation applies so

momentum initial = momentum after wards

so

400g × 5mps = (400g + 600g) velocity unknw

2000=1000×velocity unknown

2mtr per sec is the answer

Explanation:

By Formula of law of conse by the formula of law of conservation of linear momentum we will multiply

400 ×5=600×x

x=3.3 approx.

So now subtracting both initial speeds We get 1.7

Now from Original Initials

5.0-1.7=3.3m/s

3.3-1.7=1.6m/s
