Total length of the straight sections =  120 m + 120 m = 240 meters

Total length of the track = 400 meters

total Length of curved sections = 400 - 240 = 160 meters

Let the radius of the semicircular arcs be R.

Their total length will be = π R + π R = 2 π R

       =>  2 π R = 160 m

        =>    R = 80/π = 25.46 meters

 \textbf {Hey there, here is the solution.}

.............................................................................................

STEP 1: Find the total length of the 2 curved section:

Total length of the track = 400m

Length of each straight section = 120

Length of the 2 curved section = 400 - 120 - 120 = 160 m

Answer: The total length of the curved section is 160 m

.............................................................................................

STEP 2: Find the distance between the 2 parallel sections:

Distance between the 2 parallel sections is the diameter.

Circumference = πD

160 = πD

D = 51 m

Answer: The distance between the 2 parallel section is 51m.
