A 400V, 3ph supply connected to 3 wire star connected load. The branch mpedances of the load are-Zph=4+j8) ohms per phase. Find the voltage across each phase impedanc​

Y connection, voltage applied across each impedance = 400/√3 so phase current = V/Z=400/10√3= 40/√3 amps

Power in each phase = Phase voltage x phase current = 400/√3 x 40/√3 = 1600/3 VA

Total power(three phases) = 1600/3 × 3 =1600 VA or 1.6 kVA

Active power can be calculated if load angle of 10 ohm impedance is known.
