A 40kg block is resting at a height of 5m off the ground. If the block is released and falls to the ground, what is its total energy at a height of 2m?(g=10m/s^2)

energy of the block at its initial position is fully potential energy as it is at rest.
it's energy is gi en byU=mgh
=40×10×5=2000jule or 2 Kj
when it reaches height 2 m above the ground then some of its potential energy gets converted into kinetic energy ,but acc to law of conservation of energy, total energy remains constant ie.kinetic +potential so at height 2 m it would b same 2000j
