energy of the block at its initial position is fully potential energy as it is at rest.

=40×10×5=2000jule or 2 Kj
when it reaches height 2 m above the ground then some of its potential energy gets converted into kinetic energy ,but acc to law of conservation of energy,total energy remains constant ie.kinetic +potential so at height 2 m it would b same 2000j
