We know that perimeter of circle = 2πr

NOW:

2×(22/7)r = 44

r = (7/44)/44

r = 7

THE DIAMETER OF A CIRCLE = 7×2

= 14

Given:

Length of the wire = 44cm

To Find:

The diameter of the circle.

Solution:

It is given that the wire is bent into a circle.

So,

     Circumference of the circle = Length of the wire = 44cm

                                                                               ⇒ 2πr =  44cm

                                                                          ⇒ 2 × 22/7 × r = 44cm

                                                                          ⇒ r = 44×7/44 cm

                                                                          ⇒ r = 7cm

And we know that diameter = 2 × radius

                                               = 2 × 7

                                               = 14 cm

Therefore, the diameter of the circle = 14cm.
