Answer ::

  • The diameter of circle is 14cm.

Step-by-step explanation ::

To Find :-

  • The diameter of circle

Solution :-

Given that,

  • A 44cm long wire is bent to form a circle

Therefore,

Perimeter of circle = 44cm,

First we need to find out the radius of the circle,

Let us assume the radius of circle as r centimetre,

As we know that,

Circumference of circle = 2πr,

Where,

  • π = 22/7
  • r = radius

➮ 2πr = 44

➮ 2 × 22/7 × r = 44

➮ 44/7 × r = 44

r = 44 × 7/44

r = 7

The radius of circle is 7cm.

According the question,

The diameter of circle is,

As we know that,

Diameter = Radius × 2,

Therefore,

Diameter = 7cm × 2

Diameter = 14cm

  • The diameter of circle is 14cm.

Formula used :-

  • Circumference of circle = 2πr
  • Diameter of circle = Radius × 2.

Question :

A 44 cm long wire is bent to form a circle. Find the diameter of the circle.

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ

Given :

  • Length of wire = 44cm
  • Wire is bent into shape of circle.

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ

To find :

  • Diameter of circle.

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ

Solution :

Length of wire is 44cm and it is bent into the shape of circle. So, the circumference of circle = length of wire = 44cm.

Perimeter of circle = 2πr

 \sf {  44 = 2 \times \dfrac {22}{7} \times r}

\implies \sf {r = \dfrac{44 \times 7}{ 2\times 22 } }

r = 7cm

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ

Diameter of circle = 2r

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ= 2(7)

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ= 14 cmㅤ
