Initially he is facing West.

Now, he turns 45° to the clockwise, which is called North-West.

Then he turns 180° to the clockwise, which is exactly opposite to the North-West i.e. South-East.

Then he turns 270° anticlockwise, which is equal to 90° clockwise. Total angle is 360°. Now subtract 270° from 360° we get 90° in opposite direction.

S0, 270° anticlockwise is same as 90°clockwise.

90° clockwise from South-East will be South-West.

The man is facing in South-West direction after 45° to the clockwise then 180° clockwise and lastly 270° anticlockwise(90° clockwise).
