a 5 centimetre tall object is placed perpendicular to the principal axis of a convex lens of focal length 18 cm at a distance of 12 cm from it. use lens formula to determine the posistion size and nature of the image formed​

  • Using lens formula
  •  \frac{1}{v}  =  \frac{1}{f}  +  \frac{1}{u}
  •  \frac{1}{v}  =  \frac{1}{18}  -  \frac{1}{12}

  • m =  \frac{v}{u}  =  \frac{ - 36}{ - 12}  = 3
