( height of woman ) / ( shadow of woman ) = ( height of pole ) / ( shadow of pole )
5 / 3 = ( height of pole ) / 21
height of pole = 35 feet

Dear Student,

● Answer -

Height of pole = 35 feet

◆ Explanation -

As sun rays fall parallel on earth, ratio of original height to shadow length is same.

For the woman and the pole -

Height of woman / shadow of woman = Height of pole / shadow of pole

Height of pole = shadow of pole × height of woman / shadow of woman

Height of pole = 21 × 5 / 3

Height of pole = 35 feet

Hence, height of the the pole is 35 feet.

Thanks dear. Hope this helps you...
