Answer:

The increased total charges would be 12x.

120x+12x=132x

x*120 = total

It can be calculated as

= x*120*10/100

=12x

The above solution is drawn on the basis of mentioned statement but in case solution is not correct then surely something is missing in the question because from the given values we can't define increased charges.

Answer:

1.1 Times

Step-by-step explanation:

a 5 hour conference booking is required for an office party for 120 people, which includes a buffets dinner , hotel 5 has recently increased the total charges by 10%. how much would this booking now cost from hotel 5

Let say original Cost per person was Rs C

Cost For 120 People = 120C  Rs

Cost increased by 10 %

10% increase = (10/100) C = 0.1 C  Rs

Cost after increase = C + 0.1C = 1.1C

cost for 120 People = 120 * 1.1C = 132 C

New Cost = 132 C

Old Cost = 120 C

New Cost / Original Cost  = 132C/120C

New Cost / Original Cost = 132/120

New Cost / Original Cost  = (12 * 11 )/ (12 * 10)

New Cost/ Original Cost = 11/10

New Cost / Original Cost = 1.1

New Cost = 1.1 * Original Cost

New cost would be 1.1 Times the Original Cost
