Answer:

Solution:-

Let the slant height of the cone be 'l' meters.

height = 24 m and diameter = 14 m or radius = 7 m.

Then according to the question.

l² = h² + r²

l² = 24² + 7²

l² = 576 + 49

l² = 625

l = √625

l = 25 m

So, the slant height of the cone is 25 m.

Now,

Curved Surface Area of the cone = πrl

= 22/7*7*25

CSA = 550 sq m

Now, length of the cloth used = Area/ width of the cloth

= 550/5

Length of the cloth used = 110 m

Cost of cloth = Rs. 25 per meter

Total cost of clothe used = 110*25

= Rs. 2750

QUESTION✪:-

A 5 m wide cloth is used to make a conical tent of base diameter 14 m and height 24 m find the cost of cloth used at the rate of 25 per metre

GIVEN✪:-

RECTANGULAR CLOTH :

  • breadth = 5m

CONE :

  • base circumference = 5m
  • diameter (2r) = 14m
  • radius (r) = 7m
  • height (h) = 24m

  • cost/metre = Rs.25

TO FIND✪:-

find the cost of length of the cloth used .

ANSWER✪:-

slant height (l) :-

➠l² = h² + r²

➠l² = (24)² + (7)²

➠l² = 576 + 49

➠l² = 625

➠l = √ 625

➠l = 25m

CSA of cone = \pi \: r \: l sq .units

 \frac{22}{7}  × 7 × 25 m²

➠22 × 25 m²

➠550 m²

Area of the rectangular cloth= length × breadth

➠l × b = 550m²

➠l × 5 = 550m²

➠l = 550/5 = 110 m

➠cost of cloth used / m = Rs.25

➠cost of cloth used for 110m. = 25 × 110 = Rs.2750
