Answer:

Given,

mass of boy = m = 50 kg

height = h = 100m

since boy does not move anything with his force, work done by him is zero

work done on the boy = gain in potential energy

P.E=mgh

P.E=50×9.8×100

P.E=49KJ

so, potential energy gained by boy is 49 KJ

Given :

• Mass of boy=50kg

• Distance travelled by the boy =100m

To Find :

• The work done alone by him =?

Formula :

 \red \bigstar \boxed{ \bf{force = mass \times acceleration}}

  \\  \red \bigstar \boxed{ \bf{work \: done = force \times displacement}}

Solution :

• Mass =50.0kg

• The value of g (acceleration) for earth =9.8 (or approximately 10)

• Displacement =100m

  \\ \implies \sf \: force = mass \times acceleration \\  \\  \implies \sf force = 50.0kg \times 9.8 \\  \\  \implies \sf \: force = 490 \: newton \\  \\  \implies \boxed{ \sf{force = 490 \: newton}}

  \\ \implies \sf \: work \: done = force \:  \times  \: displacement \\  \\  \implies \sf \: work \: done = 490 \times 100 \\  \\   \implies \sf \: work \: done \:  = 49000 \: joules

Therefore,

The work done by the boy is 49000 J
