Explanation:

A concave lens forms a virtual, erect and diminished image of the object which is at 50 cm from the lens. The image formed is at a distance of 20 cm in front of the lens. After the incident rays parallel to each other passes through the lens, diverges back and forms an image at the focus on the same side as of the object. Accordingly, the focal length of the lens is 20 cm.
