A 50-litre solution of acid and water contains 10 litres of acid. How much water must be added to make the solution 8% acidic
-------
Equation:
water + water = water
-----
40 + 1.00x = 0.92*(50+x)
------
Multiply thru by 100 to get:
4000 + 100x = 92*50 + 92x
8x = 600
x = 75 litres (amt. of water to add)
