Answer: (b) 17.7 volts

Explanation:

Given data

Number of turns of coil = N = 50

Coil is kept in magnetic field acting normal to the area of coil.

B1 = magnetic field = 0.10 Tesla

B2= magnetic field= 0.35 Tesla

Time = t= 2ms = 2*10^-3 secs

Radius of coil = 3cm

= 3*10^-2 m =r

Area of coil = πr^2 = π(3*10^-2)^2

We know that,

Φ = NBA

Thus

Φ1 = 50*(0.10)* π(3*10^-2) ^2

= 0.01413 Wb

Φ2= 50*(0.35) *π(3*10^-2) ^2

=0.04948 Wb

Also

We know that

e= dΦ/ dt

=Φ2-Φ1/t

=0.04948- 0.01413/(2*10^-3)

=17.675

= 17.7 volts

Thus e= 17.7 volts
