A 50 year old man has a son whose age is 2/5 of his age. After how many, the ratio of the age of the man to his son will be 5/3?
 The answer that we get is 25. Can anyone verify that answer because I can't understand that how after 25yrs the age of the son will be 3/5 of his father. I saw a few answers but I really can't understand them though technically whatever they've done is totally correct.

Answer:

first : father age is 50 so son age is 20 ( because of 2/5 ratio )

second : for calculation when father and sons age ration become 5/3 its take x years

so after x years sons age will 20+x and father's age will 50+x

5/3 = 50+x/20+x

5(20+x) = 3(50+x)

100+5x = 150+3x

5x - 3x = 150-100

2x = 50

x = 25

after 25 years ration become 5/3

i hope my answer help u..

so like ans..
