Mass of the object = 5 kg

Acceleration due to gravity = 9.8 m/s^2

Displacement (h) = 4 m

Since, the force of gravity is downward and the displacement is in upward direction. Hence, the work done by the gravity will be negative.

Work done by gravity = - mgh

Work done by gravity = - 5 × 9.8 × 4

Work done by gravity = - 196 Joules

Hence, the work done by gravity will be -196 Joules

Work Done here is change in potential energy
:.W=-mgh
=>-5kg×9.8m/s^2×4m
W=-196Joule
-ive sign indicates displacement opposite to direction of force acting .
