To Find :

find the area of the path

Solution:

Length of park = 20 m

Width of park = 10 m

A 5 m wide path is running around a rectangular park

Outer length =20+5+5=30 m

Outer breadth = 10+5+5=20 m

Area of path = Outer area - Inner area = $(30 \times 20)-(20 \times 10)=400 sq.m.$

Hence The area of path is 400 sq.m.
