The probability of getting either an even or prime no. is \frac{5}{6}.

Step-by-step explanation:

As we know that a dice has 6 faces with each face has different no.

There are total 1 to 6 no. in a dice.

So total no. of possible outcomes is 6.

As we have to find the probability of no. which is either even or prime no.

So for that

                    Probability = \frac{\\ no. of\\  favourable  \\  outcomes}{total\\  no.\\  of outcomes}

Favourable out comes are 4. This is because there are 3 even nos. 2,4 and 6 and prime nos. are 2,3 and 5. So, each no. is under consideration.

So, favourable outcomes are also 6.

                                     ⇒  Probability = \frac{5}{6}

                                                          = \frac{5}{6}
