Answer:

Explanation:

MASS OF BULLET = MB = 60 G

MASS OF GUN = MG = 50 KG = 50*10³ G

                                   = 5*10⁴ G.

VELOCITY OF BULLET = VB = 500 M/S.

VELOCITY OF GUN = VG =?

USING CONSERVATION OF MOMENTUM:

MB*VB = - MG*VG

60*500 = - 5*10⁴*VG

VG = -  6*5*1000/5*10000

VG = - 6/10

VG = -0.6 M/S.

THEREFORE THE VELOCITY OF THE GUN IS 0.6 M/S.

AND THIS (-) SIGN INDICATES THAT THE DIRECTION OF THE MOVEMENT OF THE GUN IS IN OPPOSITE DIRECTION OF MOVEMENT OF BULLET.

HOPE THIS HELPS.
